An abstract painter, he placed particular emphasis on the dense texture in his canvasses. Most of the paintings of his early phase suggest urban fragmented panoramas seen from a birds eye view. The works of his late phase which are almost monochromatic, reflect the inner fluctuations of the energy of painterly matter.
